DJI Air2S - Lake Panorama National Golf Course Spring 23
Equipment Used: DJI Air 2S, Apple iPad, Lightroom & Photoshop CC
This spring, I looked forward to getting the new to me Air 2S up in the air above the golf course after crashing my Mavic Pro during the winter. The Air 2S has a much better sensor and other improved technology to improve the photographs from the air.
I photographed the golf course on two different dates in May cruising around at heights of up to 400 ft making sure no other aircrafts were in the area. One of the new technologies on the Air 2S is the warning when other aircraft are in the area on my iPad that I didn’t have on the Mavic Pro. Also improved is the panoramic shooting that stitches multiple shots together saving me time in Lightroom. There are some negatives with the new controller that came with the Air2S however has there are less buttons do have custom settings on.
Once on my computer, the RAW images from the drone were edited in Lightroom using the basic slider adjustments and gradient masks to adjust the colors of the whole image while also selecting certain parts of the image such has the greens to adjust the color of them. I try to have similar colors from fairways to greens to rough but at different heights of grass and different sun reflections, from the air they sometimes don’t look the same. From Lightroom, I transferred the RAW images directly into Photoshop to clone out unwanted stakes, bunker rates, etc. on the photographs.
