D750 - 4th of July Fireworks on Lake Panorama 22

With continued updates to Lightroom & Photoshop CC my laptop no longer supports the software so editing images has been delayed this year.  I was able to capture this year’s Lake Panorama Fire in the Sky event at dusk which once again was a beautiful display of fireworks over the hundreds of boats that gather to see them ext year.

Using the D750 and the Tamron 24-70mm lense, I set the camera to manual mode to have the shutter speed in bulb and the aperture set at f8.0.  ISO was 1250 and the lense was zoomed out to 70mm.  Using a remote trigger release, I tried to follow the beginning of the firework to its explosion which ranged trigger/shutter speed from 1.5 to 8 seconds.

The RAW files were edited in Lightroom by making adjustments to exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, dehaze, vibrance and saturation sliders under the basic tap in LR. Under the detail tap, sharpening and noise reduction sliders were adjusted as well. Graduated and radial filters were used for the final adjustments to brighten the water/boat area that were different adjustments to the fireworks and sky. A new preset stored these adjustments to help speed up the editing process.

Once the RAW files were done, I inputted them to Photoshop to use the clone and healing brush tools to get rid of unwanted objects in the water and sky. I did merge different firework bursts from different image into single images using layer masks, lighten blend mode and brush tools to create more complex images.

All the images with the D750 where in landscape orientation while the Z6II was set up in a portrait orientation to capture a different view of the fireworks which will be edited next.
