D750/D7200 - Spring Snows 2019

Equipment Used: Nikon D750, Nikon D7200, Nikon 24-120mm lense, Nikon 70-300mm lense, Lightroom and Photoshop CC

This spring, I carried both cameras to the snow goose spread with me and used them at different times of the day to capture different scenes.  The D750 had the 70-300mm on it the majority of the time while the D7200 had the 24-120mm.

Both were set on RAW, aperture priority mode (f6.3 – f16) and ISO from 100-800.  I adjusted the exposure compensation level if needed if I wanted to under or over expose the image.

Once in Lightroom, presets were used to start editing the image and then I adjusted the sliders if needed along with using gradient filters in certain areas of the image. The lens correction and detail tab in LR was used too for the different cameras. I also used LR to make the panorama image too to help combine the different image files.

Photoshop finished out the edits on these images with getting rid of unwanted items such as dust spots on the lense or a black bird in the sky. The last step was to straighten and crop the image.

This year’s snow goose season was a big disappointment has far as number of hunts and harvest of birds which also kept me from capturing even more great images.
