D750 - February Chill & Snow at Templeton Barn
Equipment Used: Nikon D750, Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 G2, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 G2, Lightroom and Photoshop CC
When the Mavic Pro was done capturing the winter landscape, I switched over to the big camera and had to get out of my warm truck to walk around in the covered fields. I didn’t spend too much time outside since it was nice and cold.
I switched between the 24-70mm and 70-300mm lense during the times I was over around the Templeton barn. D750 settings included RAW, f7.1 to f9, ISO 100-200.
To edit the images, I used Lightroom and followed the similar steps as I did with the Mavic Pro files. After applying the landscape preset, I would go in and fine tune sliders such has saturation, hightlights and shadows has a adjustment to the whole image. In Photoshop, I did add clouds with brush sets on two of the images which I did has a layer so I can easily delete them for print if needed.
Included is a 100% crop of an edited file off Lightroom to compare to the Mavic Pro. Both are pretty darn good but the D750 is the clear winner for detail and sharpness which should be expected.
